Loving this concept perhaps really useful for my work laptop (as in my own one but is only for work stuff) as quite often you just want to quickly backtrack and find that piece of info you looked at earlier rather than navigate to it again. I’d imagine something like a physical wheel on your desk to wind back would be amazing. I have a useless Bose one that never gets used, can imagine it would feel very “black mirror” to use that to rewind.
- jasonjmcghee 3y agoI love it. The touchpad feels pretty good, but a wheel would be incredible. I debounce the livetext analysis on history so you should be able to spin fast without issue
- majikandy 3y agoSweet. Fast spin for the win!
- xiaq 3y agoA lot of custom keyboards have wheels (search "rotary encoder"), common enough for qmk to support them (https://docs.qmk.fm/#/feature_encoders https://docs.qmk.fm/#/feature_encoders).
- kefabean 3y agoOr even something like this https://thepihut.com/products/adafruit-rotary-trinkey-usb-neopixel-rotary-encoder https://thepihut.com/products/adafruit-rotary-trinkey-usb-ne...
- swah 3y agoRewind has search - it just works better than rewinding manually.
