Bombing defenceless civilians is no test for any combat plane. The same effect could be reached by using a few old second-hand WW2 fighter-bombers. Mark my words. The F-35 will turn out to be the 21st Century's version of the Brewster Buffalo. And like the Brewster Buffalo, will end up killing many, many of our pilots in combat.
