I don't buy into the idea that one evil action is an excuse for another evil action. Innovations cannot be "stolen" unless you view knowledge as property, which is evil. And there's no doubt about it, the US government and corporations are using these technologies for just as evil of purposes as China. I fail to see how allowing people and corporations to claim ownership if ideas can be anything but parasitic. If I see a good idea, I'm going to use it. You think it's okay for some goons to come over and throw me in jail for using the "wrong" ideas? That's obvious comical evil.
