Supposing each conversion is 90% efficient, you're looking at 65.6% overall. If your server is around 300W, running 24/7 (which is what mine was before my power-reduction project), you're looking at 17kWh of waste/wk. That's quite a lot. Even if you go up to 95% it's still 13kWh...
- fy20 3y ago90% is rather low today. BYD has a battery system that has a round-trip effiency of 96%.
