So a few hundreds years ago, women would just futss around while men would kill themselves taking care of the fields/cattle/etc? Women have always worked. People need to stop using the 1% as representative of the whole population in History.

Perhaps it wasn't clear in my comment, but I'm talking about choosing the work and career of their own choosing, and getting paid (since the article was talking about what professions they pursue)
