Was the question, "Do all roads lead to Rome?" answered? The blog's thesis seemed more to be, "roads that lead to Rome were on this map" like an old tourist map

Was the question, "Do all roads lead to Rome?" answered? The blog's thesis seemed more to be, "roads that lead to Rome were on this map" like an old tourist map for Route 66 (mixed in with an NYC subway map), but surely there were other roads that Rome didn't care about when it came to logistics. Very interesting, none the less.
