I never base the tip on food quality, unless it was cold or something.
The server has no control over that, not really fair.
(based on American practices, seems like UK is different in how tips are distributed)
- slau 3y agoIn many places around the world the tip is shared with kitchen staff.
- theultdev 3y agoNot in the place where I live, so not applicable. Generally the kitchen staff is not on server wages in America and do not received a part of the tip. But yeah, if that's the case for you, go ahead and factor that in. You see my point though right?
- slau 3y agoYeah, but apparently you can’t fathom there are people living outside your country. The person you replied to started his post “as an Englishman”. I wrote “many places around the world”. But you can’t see our points.
- theultdev 3y agoNo I can fathom it, that's why I said: > But yeah, if that's the case for you, go ahead and factor that in. I did update my GP though to clarify.
