Tell HN: Y logo on HN now matches your topcolor
I don't know if that's new, but I just noticed that the Y Combinator logo in the HackerNews top bar now matches the topcolor when before it was always orange.
- dave4420 3y agoProbably just because it’s Xmas Day.
- pvg 3y agoI've got Christmasy HN tabs open that are just a few hours old and have the old background so that's not it.

- metadat 3y agoHaha, good thing I picked white - now it's invisible! #ffffff
- marginalia_nu 3y agoAh, news. combinator.com!
- thejarren 3y agoIt was an image that was replaced with SVG earlier this year, that's probably a nice added bonus.
- smegsicle 3y agowhen they did that we started a pool on whether it would change with topcolor, i won $20
- corobo 3y agoI may be wrong but it feels like this change happened with the red and green Christmassy rank counters. It could be a part of that style sheet maybe. On mobile, can't debug.
- bmacho 3y agoFor me the topcolor has changed recently, when it is set to ff6600 (the default and old value), it now shows cc1010. edit: setting it to ff6601 solves the problem
- Apreche 3y agoI thought it was just red for XMas.
- sgammon 3y agoIt started for me yesterday around 4pm PST, so I figured it was for Xmas.
- masteruvpuppetz 3y agoerr.. what is topcolor? Cant' seem to find anything by some physics stuff on google :(

- function_seven 3y agoUpdate: I just now changed back to orange.
- dudus 3y agoI guess it was just part of the Christmas style sheets. I'll miss it until next Christmas
