I'm not sure they get developed faster either. I just was talking to a friend about how quick it used to be to make a usable desktop app with Visual Basic or Delfi. Meanwhile I spent an insane amount of time to make a table in an iOS app that shows a table of kana and make it resize properly to the available screen size. This would have taken minutes in Delfi or VB and admittedly took me <30 minutes in the first draft of my app that used React.
