This is really interesting, as it could greatly decrease the human risk of using lighter, cheaper aircraft for cargo. Systems always optimize to their incentives, so we may see a fairly rapid shift to this kind of thing for certain routes.
- ratg13 3y agoYes, but safety will always a concern. The only way to get this to work is first that government needs to signal that this is approved use of technology and airspace. If that happens then capital markets will follow by investing in cargo-only airports to take civilian danger out of the equation.
