Yeah I’m currently doing data work at a retail company. It’s not bad at all. They’ve thrown money at seemingly every product that can be purchased with a support contract: Databricks, snowflake, Kafka, presto, rstudio, tableau, tibco, informatica, and so on lol. It’s not “prestigious” but my resume has certainly accreted some fairly lucrative buzzwords.
