I hope OpenAI is going to build out custom chips. If you’re gonna raise that much money, better raise the petaflops/$/watt ceiling. It’d be very said if those billions went into GPT-5 with a tiny increment to GPT-4 capabilities. LLMs are also hyped. I hope we’re searching for newer architectures.
