What a strange remark. Would you object to somebody saying they are tired of human conflict, hunger, disease? These have all existed for the entirety of humanity, so by your thinking people cannot be tired of them?
- lazyasciiart 3y agoI’d consider it more like someone saying they are tired of talking about conflict, hunger and disease.
- mcpackieh 3y agoYou think it implausible that somebody might grow weary of discussing such dreary things?
- DonHopkins 3y agoThen maybe they should choose to adopt some non-dreary political beliefs to embrace that they can rationally and honestly defend without lying and gaslighting, so they don't get so weary of people being offended and disagreeing with them. Then they wouldn't have to play the victim and complain about cancel culture so dramatically.
- ethanbond 3y agoIt’s totally plausible and not really all that respectable to whine about it. Especially in this context where one option they have is simply not to click on the article.
- lazyasciiart 3y agoNo, but it is not so high minded and praiseworthy as your example implied.
