Is this the solution..?

- lucian1900 14y agoYes. I have a motorized desk and I switch between sitting and standing during the day. Both my back and my feet feel pretty good.
- beagle3 14y agoOverly expensive unless you know you're going to use it a lot, or the cost ($300-$800) is immaterial to you even if you don't. I've found that a hospital overbed table ($50 on amazon, make sure you pick one that goes 28" to 50" or so) is a cheap way to evaluate -- I've been using it daily for over a year, and I feel no need to upgrade to a full desk -- but I also know that if I do want to switch, $500 for a full desk is worth it for me.
- tzs 14y agoNo. That increases your risk of carotid atherosclerosis by around 9x, and also greatly increases your risk of varicose veins. Best is to sit, but NOT CONTINUOUSLY. Approximately every 30 minutes, you need to get up and move around for a couple of minutes. Details here: http://ergo.human.cornell.edu/CUESitStand.html http://ergo.human.cornell.edu/CUESitStand.html
- mahyarm 14y agoHow about a treadmill desk where you walk constantly at a slow pace? http://iphonedevelopment.blogspot.com/2011/12/brilliantly-simple-idea-treadmill-desk.html http://iphonedevelopment.blogspot.com/2011/12/brilliantly-si...
