With the soaring popularity of Electron apps we need Electron to be distributed as a shared runtime.
- namtab00 3y agoso you want something akin to how the .NET Framework was included in Windows... what about different applications requiring different Electron versions?
- denysonique 3y agoIn such rare case, it would download the required version. Having two separate Electron versions is still better than having ten in total, for each app separately.
- namtab00 3y agoI see Electron has a point release approximately every two weeks. Factor in, let's say (conservatively), 5 Electron based applications on a given system. I posit everyone of those will depend on a different Electron version.
