Tell HN: I reached 30k karma on HN and I'm so happy
Please forgive me for this silly "Tell HN", but I think it is so interesting that in an age full of points and metrics everywhere, the single most gratifying number for me is the karma on Hacker News. Having reached a made-up goal makes me happy. I didn't do anything in particular (or cheaty) to get karma points, but just tried to contribute to this amazing community.
I guess this is an early "Christmas" thought for all of you: thanks for being part of this community, and making me richer every day.

- PaulHoule 3y agoI probably ought to tell YOSHiNoN (my agent) to notify me when we crack 60k. It wasn't until pretty recently though that I got it looking up my karma and those of the top 100 daily (including the numbers not shown on this list https://news.ycombinator.com/leaders https://news.ycombinator.com/leaders) but I've yet to make time series graphs of it.
