I have a Synology DS918+. Not exactly the best bang for your buck, but the form factor is tiny and fairly good fit for a small apartment. For access, I have a PiVPN setup on a Dell Wyse 3040 because Raspberry Pis were extremely hard to obtain. Eaton 5S 550i for keeping both powered. Need to get a new router though. I have a Mikrotik hAP ac and it seems like it's hanging onto dear life.
