This is actually a pretty good summary of the current state of moderation across the entire internet.
The ideal number of Nazis in any space is zero, but just like achieving exactly zero mouse poop in your cereal, it's totally unachievably impractical.
Which is fine, honestly. That these people exist at all is not the main issue (though it is a problem). The real issue is when certain people allow and encourage them to gather in large groups and legitimize them when they attack others.
The problem is companies declaring that there is no mouse poop in their Mouse Poop Puffs cereal while the FDA is pulling it from shelves. As with most decisions driven by short term profit incentives, it will sooner or later result in massive damage to the company.
As a social media platform, what happens to you and your profits when everyone who isn't a Nazi leaves for a network that isn't populated entirely by Nazis? What happens when your lack of moderation and insistence that there is no problem drives away everyone who just wants to keep up with their entirely normal friends?
I think we'll find out pretty soon. We've seen a steady migration of twitter users to other platforms, and twitter is clearly getting increasingly desperate as the migration continues.
