Offshore development regularly fails to deliver and often costs more than a local development team or just a good supplier. Being on the receiving end of poorly built software is upsetting, particularly if you’ve tried everything possible to fix the situation. Being stuck with a development team because of vendor lock-in only sours working relationships further. But it doesn’t need to be like this.
