Well there is the plan to add a third runway to Heathrow. 1.5 miles of runway for $20B.
- bombcar 3y agoWith these giant infrastructure projects the question really isn’t the cost, it’s the payback. I’m sure Heathrow will get their $20b in value back relative quickly.
- FredPret 3y agoDo they have to physically extend the airport boundaries to fit the third runway? I imagine real estate is not abundant around there. Else, maybe if the new runway interferes with existing infrastructure and retrofits are needed, it could make sense too.
