  Adversarial interoperability needs to be explicitly legalized. The fact is these clients never face much in the way of market fitness tests, as they often use the threat of legal action to deter any other clients. This is not what computing should be. We've pretty much just let every rando user who doesn't really give a care about how this stuff goes down decide things for us.
