Free 4h course on TLS – Transport Layer Security [video]
- cgoessi 3y agoOver the last few months, I released 30 lessons presenting how TLS allows a client and a server to securely communicate through the Internet to prevent any of the data exchanged from being read or modified by unauthorized parties. What makes TLS truly fascinating is that TLS achieves this feat even if the data is exchanged through the Internet between a client and a server that have never met before. TLS achieves this feat by authenticating the client and the server, and by having the client and the server exchange a master secret, from which cryptographic keys can be derived that then allow for the encryption and authentication of the data exchanged between the client and the server. This course first explains how all this really works within TLS, and then proceeds to a discussion of various miscellaneous TLS topics that will ensure that everyone that completes this course will be well equipped to securely use TLS within various contexts of application.
