When I started with https://emailengine.app https://emailengine.app, a similar product, I also considered releasing it as a SaaS. But looking at the competition, it seemed too complicated for me (just look at the compliance list for Nylas Email API https://www.nylas.com/security/#compliance https://www.nylas.com/security/#compliance ). Your product is impressive and was indeed an inspiration in some aspects. I agree, the landscape, especially considering compliance and security (as highlighted by Nylas), is complex. With Sunnybox, my aim is to offer a simpler yet secure alternative, focusing on ease of use and essential features, which I believe there's a niche for. I'm navigating these challenges with a 'learn and adapt as I go' approach, aiming to keep things as streamlined as possible while ensuring compliance and security.
