I just wanted to add that i think 0.abcdabcd... has interesting properties. X = 0.acdabcdabcd... Y = 10000 * 0.abcdabcdabcd... = abcd.abcdabcdabcd... Y - X = abcd.abcdabcd... - 0.abcdabcdabcd.. = abcd (without the pesky decimals) I too learned this in high school and was fascinated by it.
