What stops the string from one pin catching on the pin next to it and taking it down during play?
- duderific 3y agoThat does happen sometimes, which is very annoying to the purists.
- alistairSH 3y agoUgh. Sounds terrible to me and I haven’t bowled in years. Are the strings at least standardized? Length and weight/thickness?
- exclusiv 3y agoYeah they mention that happening, where you pick up a spare without the ball or th e pins you hit deflecting into it. Just the string from a pin taking it down. So they say less strikes and scores not that far off, but it's stupid. Players are getting phantom spares and probably some phantom strikes with the strings.
