- gumballindie 3y agoBut ai can replace programmers, so now intel can just nvidia cards to train an ai that will outcompete nvidia developers and thus overtake nvidia.
- nailer 3y agonvidia has more nvidia cards than intel has nvidia cards.
- gumballindie 3y agoSo they can make an ai that makes nvidia cards even faster meaning intel can buy as many nvidia cards to beat nvidia to it. Dont even know what the point is anymore since ai will replace everything and do everything on its own including new ai.
- carbotaniuman 3y agoWhat? As an obvious example if this were to be correct (it in no way is), why couldn't Nvidia then buy Intel cards to retain the lead? Why could Nvidia not keep building its own AI?
- voxl 3y agoThis sounds like just the kind of plan a company that has no idea how to write software would do. You're an Oracle.
- ksec 3y ago>They were really lucky that investing $millions More like billions over the course of CUDA and its predecessors. The whole thing about wanting to use GPU for not just Graphics but other HPC or highly parallel computing started before 2000. And if you believe Jensen it has always been one of the founding principle of Nvidia. But the headline is clickbait, Pat actually said something different and more about Larrabee.
