A billion dollars fixes less every year due to inflation. Wouldn't we expect this to be the case most years?

- KeplerBoy 3y agoNot most years, but frequently. An extraordinarily big catastrophe would probably hold the record for a few years until the next above average events happen. Our problem seems to be that the underlying distribution shifts fast. What once was a catastrophic freak event, is now barely average.
