NASCAR's not really my cup of tea, but I always thought it would be cool if there was a "Robot Wars" format show that had no (or rather, minimal) rules.
Just chuck a huge sawblade or crushing spike on a remotely controlled 4WD chassis and set it loose in the desert somewhere to fight similar vehicles. Weight classes measured in tons, not kilograms. Maybe set up some landmines as "arena hazards". No humans anywhere near the arena so you can set loose and watch utter chaos unfold.
