I’ll just say that personally the iMessage portion of Beeper is the only compelling offering for me personally. I do not care about centralizing my chats. I do care about being able to access my iMessage conversations on devices other than my iPhone- my only Apple device. iMessage is the only application I ever use, messaging or otherwise, that I cannot access from my computer. I don’t entirely disagree with your perspective, just want to point out that it’s not just about blue bubbles as a status symbol.
