In general people in Miami are less friendly, cliquish and unreliable compared to other parts of the country. Even other parts of Florida. They’ll show up an hour late and act like they’re doing you a favor by showing up. The drivers are erratic and irresponsible. Everything is a scam or hustle of some kind. The cultural institutions like museums and libraries are extremely poor even compared to mid-tier northeast or midwest cities. And finally, the public schools are mostly awful and even the universities are a tier below cities of similar size.
