Wow. Wow. I've always suspected this, especially after we had our daughter. My partner would be on new parent groups and then over time she would hear about new products or bring up new ideas to solve some problem I didn't know we had. I find it really pernicious that the tactic is to inject doubt and uncertainty about your adequacy as a care taker. I got really suspicious but she told me it was brought up by other "moms" in the groups. I had my suspicions but seeing it somewhat confirmed is something else. Argh.
