I think the difference here is that you are arguing that your first time adjusting the AC in a new car is cumbersome and distracting, which of course I think everyone can agree upon. What the others in this thread are commenting on is the fact that in cars with touchscreen based controls, every time you adjust the AC in a car you drive every day, it is cumbersome and distracting.
