- jakozaur 3y agoGood idea. However, there is more to gain if database proxy were more intelligent. 1. A lot of OLTP databases are abused with OLAP-style queries. It would be great if the proxy could detect and re-route it to read replicas or the warehouse. 2. Caching on DB protocol often makes more sense. 3. You can expose better protocols for some clients (e.g. SQL over HTTP for serverless). ...
