> I think we need to get Android customers using and dependent on Apple products. That is the best way to get them to consider our products in the future.
I wish more people to know about this kind of reasoning.
- infotainment 3y agoYeah, it’s frustrating to always see fanboy comments about “security” when the actual anticompetitive reason is right there.
- Arnt 3y agoYou make it sound as if people always have a single reason.
- amazingman 3y agoIt's equally frustrating to see hater comments complaining about a company's executives running a business in perfectly normal, legal ways.
- latexr 3y agoYou’re conflating different situations. Apple has some reasons for why they don’t want to make an Android iMessage app themselves and other different reasons for why they don’t want someone else making an unauthorised Android iMessage app. I disagree with the former but agree with the latter. I would prefer if Apple made the app but I can also understand why they won’t just trust a random third-party who keeps insulting them and acting entitled to their platform to not turn nefarious or have security holes Apple has no control over.
