Internet Archive: Digital Lending Is Fair Use, Not Copyright Infringement
- dusted 3y agoIt might have interesting effects if copyright only covered the currently available version (as identified by a hash of the entire product distribution). My hope is that it would have the beneficial effects of: * Not losing (as many) things to history * Make companies release more functional software to begin with * Make companies keep available every version from the beginning (so I can chose which to run, rather than the newest)
