I have no data to back this up, but after living in NYC for 20 years, the locals litter much more than tourists/commuters. It's easy to blame them (non locals)

I have no data to back this up, but after living in NYC for 20 years, the locals litter much more than tourists/commuters. It's easy to blame them (non locals) because they're not from here. IMHO it is a combination of culture/values and broken window theory (I know the criticism here).
