It reminds me of something I used to do against mosquito bites when I was younger and more sensitive to them. I dipped a spoon in boiling water, and gave the mosquito bite a few quick touches with the hot spoon. Nowadays I just use anti-acne wipes with salicylic acid against mosquito bites, it reduces the inflammation for me.
