I was in tech and gradually turned to VC, now I have my own VC firm based in Italy (I live in Venice, the original one, not the fake LA one), and we invest everywhere in Europe, and occasionally in the US. I was also a founder a few times. I hated VCs most of the time. Now I'm trying to be useful, and to not waste anyone's time. I try to say "no" very quickly, and try to be very transparent about my thinking process. Some founders really appreciate this. Some others don't. And that's fine. I want to be the VC that I would have wanted to meet when I was a founder, that's it.
