The north doesn’t use concrete based products like hardieboard? It’s better than wood siding and pretty much looks identical to wood siding. No issues with temp control, and essentially never rots besides needing a repaint every …. 10-15 years maybe. Also, I thought fiberglass windows are a reasonable alternative to vinyl windows?
