If just PVC production is banned, there’ll still be demand for it, shifting production overseas, where safety regulations may be worse than in the US. I’m not convinced this would really be a good thing.
- hobobaggins 3y agoUsually, there's a politically driven initiative to ban something without giving any real thought to the long-term unintended consequences. (This is essentially the story of the entire EPA's existence.) Often these initiatives are spearheaded by vocal groups with murky agendas.
