I tend to go straight to the front page, a force of habit. I've really only recently started interrupting this habit by heading to the new section more often. I suppose my use case is less link aggregator and more discussion/social on interesting topics, hence heading to the frontpage. I could conclude that I've just 'rediscovered' the value of HN as a link aggregator instead of habitually heading to front page.
