Apple has on occasion done out-of-band patches for older devices to fix serious security issues, so it doesn't seem too unrealistic.
- StressedDev 3y agoNote Apple does not fix all security issues on unsupported devices. They only fix really bad issues. I do not think it is safe to use an iOS device which does not have the latest version of iOS.
