I have heard that some companies make different products with the same name so they can sell the cheaper one through extremely price-sensitive retailers like Wal-Mart.
- adolph 15y agoSome retailers require different SKU/model numbers from other retailers to prevent return shifting.
- MartinCron 15y agoNot to mention the pressure to have different SKU/barcodes to prevent "showrooming".
