  A good piece but also this author sidetracked by engaging with the LLM drama. Instead, the spotlight should be in: "over the development of autonomous weapons systems—drone ships, planes, and tanks operated by AI"

  Ukraine is only mentioned once, as part of a quote. If you're going to write about this topic, what's going on there deserves more attention. There's real world autonomous systems being used to both save and take lives. I'd also like to hear how the Ukrainians think about these autonomous systems, from both civilians and military personnel.
