Ask HN: Former employer still shows me as an employee. Do I have rights?
Four and a half years ago I separated from an employer but they are still showing me as an active employee (not paying me though). Are there any benefits I can exploit because their HR department didn't do their job?

- warrenm 3y agoWhat do you mean by "showing me as an active employee"?
- devonnull 3y agoTry sending them an invoice for what you should have been paid for the last 4.5 years and see how quickly they take you off the books.
- anigbrowl 3y agoAre they using you to advertise their business to others? If so you could argue that you're owed something, though it would probably be a nominal sum. If yours is just one name among many on a non-marketing page, it's probably just an oversight and it's not obvious that you've experienced any sort of loss.
