Kanye West Launches Yews News Platform
- superb_dev 3y agoCan't even see the website, just a big "YEWS IS DESIGNED FOR MOBILE"
- ozaark 3y agoSame. I'm on mobile. Maybe iphone only or it's down already?
- NJRBailey 3y agoChecked on iPhone, it shows the following: Enter a phone number or email Or just tap submit [text input] Submit
- meepmorp 3y agoI got that and clicked submit, and it was just the date on an otherwise empty page. I wasn't expecting much, yet I'm still underwhelmed.
- sureglymop 3y agoIt's due to a broken dark mode I think. Try changing to light mode and try again. I saw a list of times next to the date which are clickable.
- bryancoxwell 3y agoClick the times, each one links to a list of stories. Presumably the idea is the home page is going to be a list of dates and times.
- ihuman 3y agoIt's based on the window width. It needs to be 479px wide or smaller.
- iliaznk 3y agoJust make the viewport narrower than 480px.
- georgehill 3y agoI love the UI, It is simple and clean; it reminds me more of Hacker News
- 2OEH8eoCRo0 3y agoIt's refreshing and I like the use of public domain artwork.
- sureglymop 3y agoAre the articles sourced from different news outlets? On a first glance they are from Bloomberg, AP, etc. Is it basically a glorified reader mode?
- georgehill 3y agoyes, it seems like
- DanAtC 3y agoWeird. No RSS feed though so into the bin it goes.
- scudsworth 3y agoso. how is yews pronounced

- evbogue 3y agoReminds me of Drudge Report a little
- sbininit 3y agoReally interested in what their content moderation strategy looks like
- asda_ 3y agoLet me take a guess...none?
- DueDilligence 3y ago[dead]
- s5300 3y ago[dead]
- frfl 3y agoDid Ye code this himself? It's...something
- thewub 3y agoTwo of the stories I've looked at so far ("Elon Plans New University in Austin" and "Google, Apple Lose Grip on App Stores" under 12 13 23 3PM) are blatantly plagiarised from the linked sources. And for the first the "source" link is an archive.is copy to bypass Bloomberg's paywall. If there's many more like that, I expect this site to not last long. Always nice to see a bit of William Blake though.
- kyleee 3y agoGuess it’s time I start calling myself a high end designer / full stack dev
- voisin 3y agoA race to see whether he or Elon can post the most antisemitic thing online for 2023. Elon has the early lead, but what he lacks in timeliness, Ye more than makes up for in paranoia.
- csuki 3y agoVery editorial tone in "DeSantis Surrogate Embarrassed on TV" > Dave Rubin, a washed-up podcaster who purchased both his children earlier this year, appeared on Bill Maher's show, where he was grilled for his support for DeSantis as president.
