Damn, even for run of the mill, retail labor I've seen courtesy extended as wait until January
- xmprt 3y agoTo be fair, holiday season is the busiest time for retail labor so it makes sense to keep employees around until after. Netflix (and other tech companies) usually don't get much work done during December so it makes the most sense for the company to do layoffs in December. It's incredibly brutal though. I wonder if there are any tax implications for doing it this quarter vs waiting till next year/quarter.
