This video data isn't even his to have any right to keep. He took it from another company's insecure website. Even if Google kept it for him, the government could and probably should make them delete it. As for the parts of it that really are his, he'll probably get that back from the FBI when they eventually return his equipment so I don't think his life's work is lost.
