Currently when I go into my car, I can resume listening to the podcast, or I can listen to my music (different app), or whatever.
I doubt any car manufacturer will be able to offer the same seamless experience when they build their own entertainment system, because now they'd have to scale to all relevant apps, not just one (or two) standard ways to interface.
- rezonant 3y agoOh they've already solved for that years ago! It'll just automatically send a Play signal via Bluetooth when your phone connects to it! And for good measure, there will be no way to control this at all. Enjoy having random content from your phone's recent media sessions forced into your car audio because the car company thinks it's "convenient"!
- ranguna 3y agoYou can just connect to Bluetooth and resume your podcast naturally by continuing to play the current media, or switch to a different app (using your phone in hands free mode).
