Ask HN: Use Surplus Solar Power?

I have the option of setting up a (thermo)solar installation that can output either hot water or electricity. The problem: I have no use for either, so I'm looking for chemical production processes that could be done with electrolysis, ideally in a safe way (eg. _not_ hydrogen production). Any ideas?
